Community Guidelines

Chair Six is built for skiers and snowboarders to connect, share runs, and discover mountains together. To keep this community safe and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all members to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, strikes, or account suspension.
1. Be Respectful
Treat every member of this community with respect, on and off the slopes.
- No harassment, bullying, or personal attacks directed at other users.
- No hate speech, discriminatory language, or content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- Disagreements happen — keep them civil and on-topic.
2. Keep Content Appropriate
Chair Six is a skiing app used by people of all ages.
- No explicit, graphic, or sexually suggestive content.
- No graphic violence or content that glorifies dangerous or illegal activity.
- Photos and videos should be relevant to skiing, snowboarding, or mountain life.
- Profile photos must be appropriate for all audiences.
3. No Spam or Misleading Content
- Do not post repetitive, irrelevant, or low-effort content purely for visibility.
- Do not impersonate other users, resorts, or public figures.
- Do not share false or misleading information about trail conditions, closures, or safety hazards.
- Commercial promotions or advertisements are not permitted without prior approval from Chair Six.
4. Respect Privacy
- Do not share personal information about others without their consent — this includes phone numbers, addresses, or location data.
- Do not post photos or videos of people without their permission, especially minors.
- Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
5. Safety First
- Do not encourage or glorify reckless behavior that could endanger yourself or others on the mountain.
- Do not post content that encourages others to ignore ski area rules, trail closures, or out-of-bounds restrictions.
- Report any real-world safety concerns to the resort, not just the app.
6. Intellectual Property
- Only post content you own or have the right to share.
- Do not reproduce copyrighted music, images, or videos without proper licensing.
Enforcement
When content is reported and found to violate these guidelines, our moderation team will take action. The severity depends on the nature of the violation:
Minor violations result in a content strike. Each strike is recorded on your account. Accumulating strikes may lead to temporary restrictions or a permanent ban.
Severe or repeated violations — including harassment campaigns, hate speech, or endangering safety — may result in immediate account suspension or a permanent ban without warning.
If you receive a strike or ban and believe it was issued in error, you can submit an appeal. You will need your Strike or Ban ID, which is included in the notification you received. Appeals with 2 or more strikes and account bans are reviewed by our team within a few business days.

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Continued use of Chair Six after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised guidelines.
